| PAWSOX NIP BULLS TO GAIN SERIES SPLIT |

(Pawtucket, RI) - Three runs in the third inning would be all the PawSox would need to secure a one run win over the Bulls at McCoy.
David Pauley, Chris Smith and Bryan Corey combined to pitch Pawtucket to a 3-2 win, holding Durham to 5 hits. Jeff Bailey, Dusty Brown and Sean Casey (ML rehab) had 2 hits each for the PawSox (19-16). Alex Cora (ML rehab) added a base hit and scored a run. With the Thursday afternoon victory, the PawSox earned a split of the series with Durham. The homestand continues on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Both Casey and Cora (Pictured above on 2nd & 3rd respectively) are expected to be in the Pawtucket lineup. Lefty Michael Tejera (2-2) faces Radhames Liz of Norfolk (0-3). |

(Pawtucket, RI) - The Pawtucket Red Sox are happy to announce the details for the third annual “Futures at Fenway” minor league doubleheader that is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 at Fenway Park. Similar to the two previous events, family-friendly ticket prices and kid-friendly activities will highlight this day of minor league fun at Fenway Park. The games in 2006 and 2007 were played in front of capacity crowds eager to see the Red Sox stars of tomorrow.
After a one year absence, the PawSox, return to take part in the 2008 “Futures at Fenway”. They will be joined by the Lowell Spinners, the Red Sox’ short-season Single-A affiliate, who played in the 2007 event. Lowell will face off against the Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay Organization) in the inaugural game at 12:05 p.m. while the PawSox will battle the Charlotte Knights in the second game of the doubleheader. (scheduled for 4:30 PM)
Kids attending the event will be selected randomly throughout the day to participate in a number of exciting activities, such as participating in mascot races and taking part in other on-field activities. Additionally, youngsters will be able to get autographs from the players during autograph sessions scheduled on the Big Concourse.
Ticket prices will again remain unchanged, ranging from $5 (for Upper Bleachers) to $30 (for Green Monster Seats, Dugout Seats, the EMC Club and the State Street Pavilion Club). Additionally, hot dogs and sodas will be discounted $1 for the minor league doubleheader.
Tickets went on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22 via the internet at www.redsox.com or by touch-tone telephone at (617) 482-4SOX. Fans with disabilities may call (877) REDSOX-9 to purchase accessible seating (while supplies last). The Red Sox' TTY number for hearing-impaired fans is (617) 226-6644. |
